Annotation | Dementia carers and professionals have different types of knowledge and experience, which may be seen as complementing rather than competing. The author describes the work of The Council of Relatives to Assist in the Care of Dementia (CRAC Dementia), an organisation of family caregivers which provide support and is committed to the development of education and training in dementia care. CRAC is involved in professional education through lectures and presentations given by family caregivers, about their personal experiences of caring for a relative with dementia. (AKM). |
