| Annotation | This summary report of the main consultation document presents the interim findings of a public feasibility project into the home care support insurance (HCSI) concept. HCSI addresses consumer needs for sustainable, high intensity home care services. The project started on 6 November 1997 with the aim to review the feasibility of partnership agreements between a private sector financial services organisation and local authorities to offer residents options on meeting their social care needs through a social care insurance/financing scheme, in particular older people who do not meet needs and/or income eligibility criteria for local authority care services. Comments are invited by 7 September 1998. (AKM). |
