AnnotationCreative literature (fiction) may be a valuable source of information in the study of older age. In this brief article, the author describes her research for an MA degree on the topic `the presentation of old age in selected Australian novels of the period 1900 to 1970'. Four authors are highlighted for their depiction of older people and ageing: Henry Handel Richardson, Ruth Park, Randolph Stow, and George Johnston. (AKM).
