Annotation | The Melabev organisation in Jerusalem, Israel provides day care centres with activities for older people with mental deterioration. In their effort to find ideas to stimulate those with dementia, Alzheimer's disease or other histories accounting for cognitive decline, the authors stumbled on photographs as a potential source of therapy. Photography is a hobby and a vocation that allows for wide application, and is readily integrated into an institutional setting or a day care programme, as outlined in this article. (RH). |
