Annotation | Finding activities that male residents will enjoy can be very challenging, and men often express little interest in attending activity programmes. To encourage their participation, activity professionals need to understand some of the common life experiences of older male residents. Activity assessments should be carefully analysed to design programmes that meet their individualised interests. Using this information, activity staff can design a variety of creative, interesting and meaningful activities to reflect residents' backgrounds and needs. (RH). |
