Annotation | The aim of the Caring for People Who Live at Home Initiative is to encourage developments in day and domiciliary care, particularly in the independent sector. In the summer of 1992, the government invited social services departments in England to submit proposals for projects. This brochure outlines the projects of the 15 local authorities chosen to take part: Barnsley, Cambridgeshire, Camden, Devon, Essex, Gloucestershire, Hammersmith and Fulham, Lewisham, Liverpool, Newham, North Yorkshire, Richmond upon Thames, Rochdale, Sandwell, and Shropshire. The Initiative was managed and co-ordinated by a project team at the Policy Studies Institute (PSI) and was expected to run until mid 1995. (RH). |
