Annotation | This strategy on safety was approved in September 1994 by the Health for Bolton Partners. The strategy aims to: meet the information needs of the over 50s to enable them to arrange appropriate pre-retirement planning; identify older people's safety risks, make recommendations to minimise them, and where possible, initiate change; review existing service provision and develop a comprehensive education and training programme which targets care agencies, informal carers, and doorstep delivery agencies; and recommend and implement appropriate and practical accident prevention initiatives. Demographic statistics for those of pensionable age in Bolton are presented. (RH). |
