AnnotationThe conference, attended by more than 60 professionals from 10 countries including the US, enabled those working in the field of employment, training and guidance to older workers to come together to share practical examples of their work. This report includes presentations on: the Fenix Project, a European-funded transnational partnership headed by Barnsley and District Training and Enterprise Council; Start 55+ Service, Market-Active, TeamStart, and SEE in the Netherlands; Senior Consult, Denmark; Initiative 40, Austria; New Directions 50+; POPE Recruitment Services; and Back on Track. Quality standards, self-help, links with employers, inter-generational work, long-term follow-up of services and courses offered by projects, motivational work, and good guidance were the main themes considered at the conference.
