Annotation | Increasingly housing associations and local authorities are closing sheltered housing schemes, which are considered no longer viable: they are difficult to let, fail to meet the needs of frailer residents, or no longer meet expectations. This workshop discusses ways in which scheme closures affect residents who may have no desire to move, how to involve them, and how to help them with moving and settling into a new home. (RH). |
