AnnotationEighty-six major and/or unique information resources in social gerontology, mostly in the form of libraries, clearing houses and other hybrid resources, and bibliographic databases were identified through an international survey. Most are located in developed countries, with the majority in the US. A growing number are in electronic format, facilitating direct end-user access. Significant information gaps continue to exist, and access to the data resources of the northern hemisphere remains a major problem for developing nations. Prominent references are made to UK resources, including the Centre for Policy on Ageing (CPA) and AgeInfo. (RH).
