AnnotationThe Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC) at Stirling provides information, service development and consultancy, training and research to professionals and volunteers in the field of dementia care in Scotland. This study was set up to establish the feasibility of a DSDC for the Anglia and Oxford National Health Service (NHS) Region. The methods used were: a Contact Information Survey of individuals and agencies in the region; a conference, and a questionnaire survey of senior managers in health and social services and housing associations. The study found widespread support for the development of a DSDC in the region, and the report concludes with recommendations to progress the feasibility study to a fully operational DSDC.
