Annotation	The Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) supported the project on which this guide is based as part of its programme of research and innovative development projects. This guide is designed to meet the needs of community and voluntary groups, at local and national level, who wish to become involved in cross-sectoral partnerships. Its aim is to help groups to negotiate better partnerships with the public and private sectors. The guide is based on a research report undertaken for JRF by the Ashridge Centre for Business and Society, and involving in-depth investigations of 12 different kinds of partnerships that were widely seen as "successful".
