Annotation | Resolution 46/91 adopted by the UN General Assembly on 16 December 1991 contained the UN Principles for Older Persons, to add life to the years that have been added to life. Eighteen principles under five headings: Independence, Participation, Care, Self-fulfilment, and Dignity. Governments were encouraged to incorporate the principles into their national programmes wherever possible. (KJ/RH). |
