AnnotationThis code of practice provides guidance for designers and the building construction team in their task of incorporating into new buildings, or alterations to existing buildings, measures to enable the safe evacuation of disabled people, in the event of a fire. It is applicable to all buildings except single-family dwelling houses, flats and maisonettes. It is not intended for application in a building used as a house in multiple occupation (HMO).
