AnnotationThis article is written by a member who was awarded a bursary to attend the AEA (Action on Elder Abuse) 4th national conference in Durham in April 1997, and brings to our attention the lack of coverage of domestic violence with regard to older women. Elder abuse and domestic violence have been identified as two separate phenomena, resulting in the development of different approaches and services. The author suggests the need for inter-agency initiatives to recognise the links, and to deal with gaps in provision. (RH).
