Annotation | Given the prevalence of incontinence (suffered by one third of older people in Israel), no interest in the problem had been forthcoming. This paper outlines the work of the "Centre for Control of Continence", which was established in 1994 with the support of ESHEL (the Association for the Planning and Development of Services for the Aged in Israel). The project is unique - combining the fields of geriatrics, urology, community health, nursing and social work - and has thereby improved knowledge on incontinence. (RH). |
