AnnotationThe International Federation on Ageing (IFA) has played a key role in assuring the rights of older people around the world, through the preparation and dissemination of its Declaration on the Rights and Responsibilities of Older Persons. The United Nations (UN) Principles for the Elderly, adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1991, is largely based on IFA's Declaration.
