AnnotationThese Regulations consolidate and amend the Food Hygiene (General) Regulations 1960 and 1962, and came into operation on the 1st of March 1971. The principal requirements relate to: the cleanliness of premises used for the purposes of a food business; the hygienic handling of food; the provision of water supply and washing facilities; and the temperatures at which certain foods are to be kept on catering premises.
