AnnotationThis Supplement features research directions in behavioural disturbances of dementia that were the focus of symposium presentations at the International Psychogeriatric Association's (IPA) seventh congress in Sydney, Australia on October 29th 1995. The presentations from the symposium were geared at reviewing the research methodological issues in evaluating behavioural disturbances of dementia and to provide some additional directions. As a result of this conference, Janssen Pharmaceutica agreed to sponsor an International Consensus Conference to attempt to establish an operational definition of behavioural disturbances of dementia which is needed.
