Annotation | This Green Paper sets out for consultation the Government's proposals for a new strategy for lifelong learning, which encourages adults to enter and re-enter learning at any stage in their lives; aims to lift barriers to learning; and in which the Government shares responsibility with employers, employees and the community. The Paper proposes to overcome barriers to learning through new forms of delivering learning, such as the University for Industry (UfI); to support learners through a national system of individual learning accounts; to enable learning in the work place; and to support learning through a better qualifications system. The paper invites comments by 24 July 1998. |
