AnnotationGerontology education in the United States (US) has grown rapidly over the last 20 years, however, evaluation of gerontology programmes have not kept pace. After completing twenty years of gerontology instruction, the University of Southern California Leonard Davis School of Gerontology conducted a survey of its graduates to evaluate the success of both the graduates and the programme itself. Employment status, salary level and job satisfaction were the variables used to assess the success of graduates, and for the success of the programme, graduates' perceived usefulness of the programme, willingness to enrol again, and willingness to recommend it to others were assessed. Data indicated that both graduates and the programme have been successful.
