AnnotationMulticultural intergenerational programmes can play an important role in strengthening familial ties, and providing needed services to young and old, to foster a sense of connectedness in communities. This article discusses intergenerational relations in ethnic communities, and bringing generations and cultures together through cross-age programmes. Guidelines are given on how to develop culturally appropriate intergenerational programmes, with some ideas on the sorts of questions to ask.
