Annotation | The 1995 White House Conference on Ageing (WHCoA) was the culmination of more than four decades of the formulation of public policy and advocacy for the concerns of older adults and their families. This article outlines some of the key issues and themes of historical importance from previous White House Conferences (in 1961, 1971, and 1981), and explores what these trends suggest as emerging issues for social work in the field of ageing. |
