Annotation | This article explores the contribution of health professionals in the United Kingdom (UK) to community care assessments under the NHS and Community Care Act 1990. It reports on the findings of a research project that used a variety of methods to investigate assessment in practice. The research found that social services staff were heavily reliant on information from health professionals. Relationships were not always easy and the article discusses strategies that might usefully contribute to these two groups working together effectively. |
