AnnotationThe Department of Health's (DoH) Policy Research Programme aims to secure a scientific basis for departmental policies, and provides a means of evaluating policy implementation, as well as a knowledge base for policies directed at the health of the population as a whole. Programme content is outlined on subject areas covered, including: social care of adults and community care; environmental health; disease prevention, health promotion, and inequalities in health; strategies in relation to health service delivery; mental health policy; and health policies for disabled and older people. This report covers the financial years 1995-1997, and lists the projects and programmes funded for that period.
