Annotation | This article compares the issues that influence the retirement decision-making process of mid-life and older men and women, mainly in the United States (US), including both psychosocial and personal concerns. Economic, attitudinal and health aspects are discussed in light of retirement issues, and strategies for change are presented. Recommendations for continued policy research includes new programme designs for retirement planning modules and a greater focus on the specific issues and concerns facing older women. |
