Annotation | The idea behind `Images of residential life' is based on the pack of 27 cards, each representing an aspect of residential life, which were originally used as part of a study of consumer preferences on local authority old people's homes. The cards and exercises are intended to give staff groups an opportunity to consider residential life from the point of view of residents. The pack also includes the summary report, `A balanced life?', a guide to the picture cards, and `A guide to making choices: co-ordinator's handbook', as well as a board on which to arrange cards into choices of `important', `very important' or `debatable'. The pack was designed and assembled in the Polytechnic of North London's Education Development Service by Judi John. (RH). |
