Ageism victims "need help at national level" | Author(s) | Jilly Welch |
Journal title | People Management, 10 October 1996 |
Pages | p 9 |
Keywords | Employment of older people ; Training [elderly workers] ; Unemployment ; Attitudes to the old of general public. |
Annotation | Small charities and age campaigning bodies - such as the Bristol-based Freshstart Trust, the Third Age Action Trust (Tact), and Reach - are shouldering the burden of providing help for unemployed people over 40 years old. They would like to see the training and enterprise councils (Tecs) adopting a more co-ordinated approach in working with older unemployed people. (RH). |
