Journal title | Journal of Volunteer Administration, no 5, Winter 1996, 1996 |
Pages | pp 5-13 |
Keywords | Voluntary work [elderly] ; United States of America. |
Annotation | Greater organisational investment in the structuring of volunteer roles is proposed as a means for expansion of the productive contributions of older people as volunteers in the US. The creation of greater numbers of volunteer assignments with high levels of responsibility and substantial time commitments is proposed. A research and demonstration programme is recommended to stimulate the development and testing of models for more productive deployment of older volunteers. (RH). |
