AnnotationThis article describes the work of the RAFE (Reminiscence Approaches with the Frail Elderly) Project, which was set up in Norfolk in 1994. The aim of the project is to provide training in reminiscence approaches for care staff in residential homes. In addition, it has built up a collection of 'memory boxes' which can be used in residential homes as a stimulus to reminiscence. These boxes contain a variety of objects from the past, collected into themes such as sport and leisure, World War II, and household equipment.
