Annotation | Doubts have been raised over the effectiveness of care management for people with dementia. There is a danger that the perceived high costs of 24-hour care in the community will be avoided by accepting large scale nursing home developments, without first exploring models which support and enhance community living. The author suggests a person-centred approach to help service users and carers. |
