AnnotationThis survey by questionnaire of older Bromley residents from all localities in the borough and sections of the community including ethnic groups, was undertaken to collect information to help shape current and planned services. Opinions were sought about the quality of services used such as helping people to live independently; and on services needed in the future, including residential or nursing home care. A picture emerged of a lively and diverse group of people, many of whom are able to live stimulating and active lives, sometimes with help from friends, relatives or neighbours. Recurrent concerns were voiced about financial matters, transport, health, and loneliness.
