AnnotationSocial services departments (SSDs) in England have been asked to supply eligibility criteria for residential and domiciliary care for older people in a study being conducted by the Personal Social Services Research Unit (PSSRU) at the University of Manchester. One of its early findings is that authorities need to make closer links between eligibility criteria and assessment procedures. (RH).
