AnnotationStudies have shown that constant exposure to the stresses of war has a long-term impact on the health of middle-aged and older people. During Lebanon's years of war, securing water, food and shelter became overwhelming burdens for many old people. The author concludes that the international community must be mindful of the needs of older age groups who are frequently among the "invisible" but most vulnerable of the victims. (RH).
