Annotation | Karuna Hospice Service (KHS) is a Buddhist, community-based hospice service in Brisbane (Queensland, Australia), which has a reputation for its innovative and caring work with the dying and their families. During recent research which looked at the `uniqueness' of this hospice service, the notion of spirituality surfaced as a central concept. The author discusses this notion, using a post-modern approach, and focusing on discourse rather than positivist demands for proof and objectivity. (RH). |
