Annotation | 'Setting new standards' is a project which has brought together geriatricians, psychogeriatricians, health service business managers, clinicians and business managers from the primary health team to form the Consensus Panel. The Panel, which comprises experts involved in planning and providing elderly mental healthcare services, discussed how new therapies may benefit patients, and the need for the statutory services to be prepared to respond and to assist in the global management of provision of care. This report gives recommendations by the Panel for continuing to improve services for the growing number of Alzheimer's disease patients. |
