Annotation | When they are no longer able to look after themselves, many older people move to live with their adult children, rather than go into residential care. The authors outline their research at the Policy Studies Institute, which has been published as 'Family matters: parents living with adult children in old age', by the Policy Press and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF). The article summarises families' needs. There was little evidence that family carers had received a better deal under the new community care policies. |
