Annotation | More than 2000 randomised trials are reported in the literature for the treatment of dementia and cognitive decline, which makes it difficult for any one person to find and compare information from all the relevant studies relating to a given treatment. The Cochrane Dementia and Cognitive Impairment Group, set up in 1995 with its editorial base in Oxford, is a multidisciplinary group which aims to establish and maintain a truly comprehensive database of all randomised controlled trials of interventions in the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of dementia and cognitive decline. The group is part of the Cochrane Collaboration, which has set up a formal mechanism for preparing, updating and disseminating the results of systematic reviews of health care. |
