Annotation | One of the reasons for living in a home is to benefit from a therapeutic environment. A positive approach to leisure in homes therefore involves the subtle combination of recreation, care and therapy. Staff need to be aware that although older people who require residential care may be frail, this does not necessarily signify that they are unable to join in and benefit from leisure activities. This pamphlet suggests provision and content of a leisure programme. |
