Annotation | This paper proposes that the rights and responsibilities of all parties involved in an occupational pension fund should be clearly defined by law. The employer, the members and the trustees should know precisely where they stand in relation to the use of money in the fund. The main purpose of defined benefit schemes is to provide benefits for members, whose rights should be protected. |
