AnnotationThe Supplementary Benefits Commission took over the work of the National Assistance Board in 1966. Before these reports were published, the Commission's activities were covered in the Annual reports of the Ministry of Social Security, subsequently the Department of Health and Social Security. The Commission was abolished in 1980, and replaced by the Social Security Advisory Committee, with responsibilities covering a wider field. (KJ).
