Annotation | The authors explore the problems of adapting homes to meet disabled needs. They argue that lifetime homes could play a central role in avoiding past design failures in making housing accessible, which would save scarce resources and support independent living. The government's inter-departmental review of community care should be used as an opportunity to consider bringing adaptations funding together under one administering authority. |
