AnnotationIn 1987 the London Borough of Islington commissioned Market and Opinion Research International (MORI) to conduct a large scale social survey among its residents, including older people. The aim of the survey was to examine the living standards, employment, health and welfare of residents, and to assess their knowledge of and attitudes towards the council and the services it provides. Findings showed that a large proportion of the Islington population experienced severe forms of material deprivation.
