Annotation | The measurement of quality of life in healthcare seems to be more related to concerns of the pharmaceutical industry and management approaches to healthcare purchasing, than with patient care. If higher quality of life is to be achieved for older patients (and their carers), then more widespread use of quality of life assessment and patient-centred goal setting is required, which supports a more holistic approach to patient care. |
