Annotation | These guidelines outline best practice in the treatment of adults with poorly controlled epilepsy, and will help to ensure that they receive a better service which makes optimum use of improvements in new anti-epileptic drugs, advances in imaging technology, and new developments in epilepsy surgery. They aim to suggest general management principles, and to make recommendations based on best clinical evidence. The need for full participation of patients in treatment decisions is emphasised, as is close collaboration between specialists and GPs involved in treatment of patients. |
