Annotation | People who disrupt group activities with their 'difficult' behaviour can be a problem for staff. The author reviews responses which experienced staff have found helpful, in the context of her work with dementia patients at Melabev, an adult day care programme in Jerusalem, Israel. She suggests that the 'difficult' member can be seen as a source of energy to stimulate the group. |
