| Annotation | The authors report on their study evaluating community care arrangements for older people with dementia, that some progress has been made since the implementation in 1993 of the NHS and Community Care Act 1990. However, all assessors were qualified social workers or very experienced in working with older people, suggesting that skill and knowledge make a difference in the effectiveness of assessment. |
