| Annotation | This article summarises points made in the authors' report, 'Bridging the anxiety gap', which was commissioned by Community Integrated Care. Hospital discharge schemes are needed, which bridge the gap between hospital and home: an intensive rehabilitation programme, followed by a flexible home care services could foster the speedy recovery of those who are not normally heavily dependent. The absence of bench marks set by standards means that shortfalls in provision cannot be identified. |
