AnnotationThis workshop examined three themes: getting participation going; the relationship between resident leader and scheme manager/warden; and what can go wrong. Speakers and participants emphasised the need for negotiations between residents and management, and for clear understanding of structures established and of roles and boundaries set. As retirement housing schemes vary, no one pattern of management can be prescribed.
