Annotation | This chapter reviews provision for retirement as it affects the baby boom generations, examines the working lives of baby boomers and how these are likely to affect their financial resources in retirement, and looks at the effects of more widespread home ownership. An examination of recent trends in the incomes of today's pensioners - sources of income, and provision of long-term care - points to why there should be concern for what happens to the baby boomer generations in old age. |
